It has happened again. An entire month has gone by without me having time to sit down and write an update! Needless to say, a lot of happened in the last two months! We now have a crawler who is getting around everywhere. With four teeth she is eating anything and everything we give her. It surprises me sometimes what she likes. The spicier the better. She actually prefers meat to fruit and prefers anything over veggies. She easily meets her protein for the day. I just have to work on her getting those greens.
I will break this down into two sections so that you can see how she has grown each month.
Nine Month Update
Current Likes: Feeding herself. She is such a happy baby so many things could make this list!
Current Dislikes: Being left in a room alone.
New Accomplishments: Top two teeth, said “Mom” and continues to call me “Mama”, Pulled to a stand from sitting, waved, and clapped her hands.
Ten Month Update
Current Likes: Petting dogs, and everything else previously mentioned.
Current Dislikes: Loud noises, being tired, her feet or hands touching the grass, and wearing hats or headbands.
New Accomplishments: Crawling!, Cruising along furniture, and letting go for a second while cruising.
It might just be me, but I think she really grew up between nine and ten months! She has lost a little of the “baby” look.
She is really getting around well and I have to vacuum constantly because she is picking up the tiniest things and trying to eat them!
I have to really watch what older brother is doing as he has a tendency to pick on his little sister. I really hope it is a short phase.
I have already picked out her theme for her first birthday party. As soon as I am done making the Halloween costumes I will have to start making her decorations! I can’t believe how close it is.
I am also looking forward to the end of nursing. She still will not take a bottle or sippy cup, so I am not sure how the transition to milk will go. I think I am going to have to buy a different kind of sippy cup and maybe she will do better. I don’t know. But I am looking forward to having my body as my own for the first time in over three years!
